Tasmania’s premier team-building challenge, The Mind Games, is excited to announce Hazell Bros Group as the new Gold Sponsor for its fifth event in 2025. Led by Managing Director Geoffrey Hazell, the company is a longstanding supporter of The Mind Games, having been involved since it began in 2019.

Geoffrey Hazell expressed the company’s enthusiasm for their continued involvement:

“Hazell Bros is back to support The Mind Games in 2025, and this year we are really proud to be the Gold Sponsor. We’ve been involved with The Mind Games since the start and it’s a great fit for our business.”

“The Mind Games is all about raising funds and raising awareness for workplace mental health, and this is something we truly believe in.”

From its early days, Hazell Bros has grown to be one of Tasmania’s largest and most respected businesses. Despite their success, the company has remained grounded in its values, particularly their commitment to the health and wellbeing of their employees.

“Hazell Bros was established over 80 years ago, and we’ve grown exponentially in that time. But at our heart we are still very much a family business, and our people are our priority,” said Mr Hazell.

Creator and Chief Fun Officer for The Mind Games, Sherri Ring, says she is thrilled with this partnership, which is both a natural fit and a great opportunity to continue to work with an iconic Tasmanian business.

“We’re really excited to have Hazell Bros as our Gold Sponsor for 2025. Their unwavering support has been a cornerstone of The Mind Games since day one, and their continued commitment to workplace mental health is truly valued.”

“Hazell Bros has played an integral role in our event from the very beginning,” says Ms Ring. “They’ve brought seriously fun and innovative challenges to Game Day while reinforcing the importance of positive workplace mental health and the power of preventive action. This is a company that really walk the talk. We could not ask for a better gold sponsor!”

Hazell Bros Corporate Golf Day kicks off the fundraising for 2025

Hazell Bros Group is kicking off its fundraising efforts for The Mind Games with the return of its Corporate Golf Day, a new initiative launched in 2024. The event, to be held on Friday, March 28 at Kingston Beach Golf Club, raised almost $25,000 last year, thanks to the generosity of business partners and suppliers.

This year, Geoffrey Hazell hopes to surpass that amount and has issued a challenge to businesses across Tasmania to get involved.

“We’re aiming to build on our 2024 success – so I’ll put the challenge out to businesses around Tasmania to book a team and come and have a round of golf with us. It’s a fantastic day and a beautiful golf course, and we get to raise money for important research into something that can have an impact on all of us,” Mr Hazell added.

As The Mind Games prepares for its fifth event, the excitement is already building. The event continues to grow in both size and impact, with more companies and individuals getting involved every year. This year’s Game Day will take place on 6 November at Princes Wharf No 1 (PW1).

Ms Ring says now is the ideal time for organisations to get involved and play a role as champions of positive workplace mental health.

“This year The Mind Games will be bigger and more exciting than ever. We’re encouraging businesses to register their teams now, and we still have some limited opportunities left for sponsorship packages. We’d love to see local businesses follow the lead of Hazell Bros and get on board to be part of this important event and movement” she said

Media are invited to attend an event to launch Hazell Bros Gold Sponsorship of The Mind Games. There will be opportunity for photos, videos and interviews.
