The Mind Games: Shaping the Future of Workplace Mental Health

By April 10, 2025June 2nd, 2025No Comments

Since our inception in 2019, The Mind Games has grown from a one-day event into a powerful movement dedicated to promoting positive workplace mental health across Tasmania and beyond. Our focus is on preventive mental health, fostering workplace connectivity, and having fun at work!

Our major event each year, or Game Day, brings together 350 participants for the ultimate team-building challenge. Participants drawn on their skills in creative thinking, collaboration and communication to complete an action-packed day of challenges, fun and laughter. The Mind Games raises awareness, breaks down the stigma surrounding mental health, and highlights the importance of fostering supportive, connected workplaces.

And we are not just about team building. We are a profit for purpose company raising funds to support groundbreaking research into workplace mental health. To date we have contributed over $300,000 to the Menzies Institute for Medical Research to support this important research.

Sharing our expertise and experience

Earlier this year, the Tasmanian Government released its Discussion Paper for the Healthy, Active Tasmania: 20-Year Preventive Health Strategy 2026-2046. This document sets the vision for improving health outcomes in our state, and we’re excited to share our response and submission below.

Our submission reflects the core values of The Mind Games: a commitment to prevention, and connectivity in teams, workplaces and communities. And we believe that creating healthier workplaces and communities is an essential part of achieving the vision of a Healthy, Active Tasmania.

We welcome any questions about our submission and invite you to explore how The Mind Games is making a difference. Thank you to the incredible sponsors, participants, and volunteers who continue to support this program and help us shape the future of Tasmanian workplaces.

Together, we’re driving change and creating workplaces and individuals that thrive.
